Course Description

This course will explore core Biblical themes relating to Wilderness and God’s intentional use of His creation in the overarching story of redemption throughout scripture.  Additionally, we will consider key principles of a Biblically based approach to outdoor leadership with special attention on how Jesus taught and formed His disciples.   This will have both time in the classroom and time in a wilderness context. Additionally, we will explore the basic skills of wilderness travel and backpacking through a guided wilderness trip.
